Fashion Design 2021

Courtney, affectionately referred to as “Bama” by friends and colleagues, is a fashion design graduate with an interest in vintage/historical garments and culture. She is endlessly fascinated by the utilitarian, yet glamorous fashions of the 1920s through the 1940s. After graduation, Courtney plans to be more involved in Victoria’s creative scene by creating a small line of upcycled, workwear inspired garments, and offering alterations and commission work for heirloom pieces. She also wants to focus on performing with her old timey jazz and ragtime band, and settle down with her partner and cat in their cozy tiny house in the woods.

To keep up with Coutrney’s creative adventures, visit @biglegbama, to hear what the band is up to, follow @rottenappleruckus, and look out for her debut collection @island.selvage.co on Instagram.
